    Community Involvement and Neighborhood Revitalization

Working in the community where our people live is the best way to concentrate and focus on neighborhood revitalization. Lansing has the benefit of having many parks and awesome neighborhood associations that do great work. Our goal is to amplify the capacities of the great number community based organizations and neighborhood groups that create community in Lansing. We believe in working with the business and education community to create economic empowerment zones in neighborhoods to address spatial mismatch and create inner-city jobs. Our aim is to make the work of the community the City`s business.

    Education and Youth Leadership Development

I would like to see the City continue to support the Lansing School District. I would also like to see the City work with some of the Public School Academies in Lansing. The City has a roll to make sure that all children are important regardless if they attend a Lansing School District School or a school in Lansing.
